Replacement JL8 Brake Pads – (4) Pieces for Axle Set – also fits Front or Rear on 1965-1982 Corvette, 1968-1969 Camaro/Firebird with REKUDO JL8 Rear Brake System, and 1970-1981 Camaro/Firebird with REKUDO JL8 Front or Rear Brake System.
REKUDO organic Disc brake pads are 100% non-asbestos material & offer quiet operation and lower rotor wear. The pad material requires less heat to generate good friction, which makes them perfect for street driving. These brake linings are ideal for short autocross courses where a street pad works better because there isn’t time to build sufficient heat that racing-oriented pads need. Sold as an axle set (one set for the front or the rear calipers on your 1965-1982 Chevrolet Corvette).
The 4-wheel disc brake upgrade (Corvette style 4-piston calipers for both front and rear) was offered on the 1968 Camaro as a “Heavy Duty Service” package sold through the parts counter at Chevrolet car dealers. In 1969, the 4-piston disc brakes could be ordered as a Regular Production Option (RPO) JL8 package on production vehicles. These high-end brakes were made available to support racing programs like the Sports Car Club of America® (SCCA), and Trans-Am® road racing series. This unique brake option is very rare and was only sold on about 200 production vehicles.
